Parents Have the Power! A Conversation Thursday, October 16th with Authors Judith and Carson Graves, with Remarks by Robert K. Crabtree, Esq.

Sponsored by NESCA

August 8, 2014

Written from a parent's point of view to give other parents a better understanding of how to help their children receive the educational services they need, Parents Have the Power to Make Special Education Work has been called "elegantly written and wisely pragmatic."

It was written by Judith Canty Graves and Carson Graves, who "learned the ropes" both by advocating successfully for their own child from preschool through high school, and also by engaging extensively with many other parents and professionals along the way, to learn the wider and deeper elements of the process.

Following introductory remarks by renowned Special Education Attorney Robert K. Crabtree, who wrote the Foreword, Authors Judith Canty Graves and Carson Graves will discuss the book and their experiences at NESCA on Thursday, October 16th, from 7:00 to 9:00pm.

A question and answer period and book signing will follow the presentation. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served.
